Tap That!: A campaign for bottled water alternatives at UBC

Tap That UBC is a community of UBC students, faculty, and staff who are trying to become the next water bottle free university by taking the next step in searching for water alternatives.

Bottled water has been an important topic of discussion at the University of British Columbia’s Vancouver campus over the past five years. Extensive research has been conducted both by UBC Food Services and by students in Campus Sustainability’s SEEDS Program. The waste and costs associated with bottling, transporting, and selling water has significant negative implications for the environmental, social, and economic well being of the UBC community. It is now time for the University to commit to becoming bottled water free.

Talk to them on on our Facebook page or on Twitter (@TapThatUBC) with the hashtag #tapthatUBC. Click through the picture for a link to the petition- add your voice to those who want to see this campus become bottled water free!
